Liverpool have bid £5 million for Portsmouth full back Matt Taylor according to reports over the weekend.

The Sunday Mirror claims that Taylor is wanted by Spurs, Fulham and Aston Villa but that Liverpool have made the first formal move with a £5 million bid.

Taylor is flexible enough to operate at either full back or in midfield and will be remembered for scoring two of last seasons most spectacular goals.
