Major League Soccer side Houston Dynamo have approached Chelsea midfielder Claude Makelele about a potential move away from Stamford Bridge.

Makelele revealed to reporters this weekend he was taking the offer seriously when he said to the Sunday Mirror:

"The United States is an option for me. It would not prevent me from playing for France, ask the coach."

Makelele's super model wife Naomie Lenoir is making a big name for herself in Hollywood so a potential move could be attractive to the Frenchman.
