Arsenal are set to launch a £12 million for the new Ruud Van Nistelrooy emerging from Dutch football.

The Gunners are interested in signing Ajax's highly rated striker, Klass Jan Hunterlaar and could launch a bid for the player as early as January when the transfer window reopens.

23 year old Hunterlaar scored 33 times for his club last season and Ajax are thought to be ready to cash in on their most prized asset.

Arsenal could face stiff competition for the player though with Manchester United and Inter Milan also reportedly tracking his progress.
